Members of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 11s delayed party, as well as attached reserve unit NMCB 14, returned to the U.S. from deployment in early August to family and friends onboard Naval Construction Battalion Center (NCBC) Gulfport, Miss.
Command leadership welcomed returning troops as they unloaded the plane and embarked the buses that would bring them onboard NCBC Gulfport. Decorated posters and T-shirts with customized messages were on display for returning Seabees, all having a heartfelt Welcome Home sentiment.

CDR Jorge R. Cuadros, NMCB 11s commanding officer, reported that the battalion executed over 30,000 man-days of construction, mission support and direct labor training through this deployment period to the U.S. European Command, U.S. Pacific Command and U.S. Africa Command areas of responsibility. This included 59 projects, 11 recurring missions, general engineering and camp maintenance in 35 countries and territories on four continents.
The battalion continues to execute construction projects with the highest levels of quality, in any environment, said Lt. Cmdr. Kenneth Sowell, operations officer, NMCB 11. This not only speaks to the diligence but also the mobility of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Eleven and their hard work.
