Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 11 detach a cable from a spool, after which the cable will be buried to provide power to a 10-ton heating, ventilation and air conditioning unit at Camp Krutke, Afghanistan.
Camp Krutke, dedicated in honor of Gunners Mate 2nd Class Jared Krutke, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 74 in January 2010, is a 21-acre camp built in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, and home to Seabee battalions deployed to Camp Leatherneck in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. GM2 Krutke was killed while performing his duties at the Seabee Armory on board Camp Covington, Guam, in March 2007.
