SAN DIEGO (July 20, 2023) – Sailors from Naval Beach Group One stand at attention for a group photo in honor of the 75th anniversary of NBG 1. The need for a single organization dedicated to the support of amphibious operations was recognized as a result of experience gained during the island-hopping campaigns of World War II.
