200222-N-CD254-2009 DILI, Timor-Leste (Feb. 22, 2020) Utilitiesman 2nd Class Lisa Shelby, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Timor-Leste, pours core fill into concrete masonry unit blocks to strengthen the structural integrity for the two-room classroom project. U.S. Navy Seabees are constructing a school in support of the National Institute of Health in Dili, Timor-Leste. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
