GALLUP, New Mexico (Aug. 8, 2019) Sailors attend the Gallup Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial evening parade Aug. 8 while in town for an innovative readiness training (IRT) project where they are working with the Southwest Indian Foundation to build homes for homeless Native Americans. The First Naval Construction Regiment and Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 18 were the leading entities in the IRT project where Seabees gained much needed hands-on training while giving back to the community and getting to experience the Native American culture in New Mexico.
