180501-N-PO132-076 OKINAWA, Japan (May 1, 2018) Steel Worker Constructionman Elijah Faraladanskdoyle, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, secures Del’s bee with ratcheting strap for bee refurbishment. Del’s bee is a true piece of Seabee history and has been in Okinawa for more than 45 years. Del’s bee represents every rate in the Seabee community, the seven rates of the Seabees proudly displayed on his arms give testament to our fighting Seabees. NMCB 5 is the forward deployed Pacific NMCB ready to support major combat operations and humanitarian assistance/disaster relief operations and to provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps and joint operational forces.
