180507-N-XK887-423 PALAWAN, Philippines (May 7, 2018) Construction Electrician Constructionman Isaiah Bacon, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, ties pieces of reinforced steel with tie wire. The reinforced steel will be used to add tensile strength to concrete after being placed. NMCB 5 is the forward deployed Pacific NMCB ready to support major combat operations and humanitarian assistance/disaster relief operations, and to provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps and joint operational forces.
