ACAJUTLA, El Salvador (April 22, 2018) Salvadorian crane operators use the 80 ton crane to lift a U.S. Army Medium Tactical Vehicle from an Improved Navy Lighterage System Causeway ferry, operated by Sailors from Amphibious Construction Battalion 2, during pier-side Lift On/ Lift Off operations as part of Joint Logistics Over the Shore (JLOTS) 18. JLOTS 18 is part of U.S. Southern Command’s exercise Beyond the Horizon, led by U.S. Army South, that helps to bolster regional and partner relations through humanitarian and civic assistance projects, medical readiness exercises, and exercise related construction projects taking place in El Salvador.
