Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 4 Seabees both attended and participated as the color guard for the opening day ceremony during the Dallas Cowboys training camp on July 24. Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5 completed a field training exercise (FTX) in Fort Hunter Liggett in order to improve their combat skills and mastery of tactics. The training, called Squad Leader FTX, consisted of classroom instruction and training in the field. The field training involves high heat levels, rugged landscape and long hours in heavy gear.
