160804-N-CV785-023 KUANTAN, Malaysia (Aug. 8, 2016) U.S. Navy Seabee Construction Electrician 2nd Class Ernest Cherwin (left), Steelworker 3rd Class Roy Hughes and Malaysian Army engineer Corporal Hasan Shauki measure cement sheeting during a renovation of Tabika Kemas Felda Bukit Kindergarten, as part of Pacific Partnership 2016. U.S. Navy Seabees and Malaysian Army engineering and transport personnel renovated the kindergarten over the period of 2-13 August, installing walls, ceilings and beautifying the environment for the students. This is the first time Pacific Partnership has visited Malaysia. During the mission stop partner nations work side-by-side with local military and civilian organizations in a search and rescue exercise, civil engineering projects, community relation events and subject matter expert exchanges.
