LA Fleet Week is an opportunity for the public to meet their Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard teams and experience America's sea services. During fleet week, service members will participate in various community service events, showcase capabilities and equipment to the community and enjoy the hospitality that Los Angeles and surrounding areas have to offer. Los Angeles Fleet Week concluded Sept. 4 and offered the public an opportunity to take a tour of the ships and meet Sailors and Marines as they showcase the Navy’s capabilities. It also gives the public a chance to gain a better understanding of how the sea services support the national defense of the United States and freedom of the seas. Throughout the week, service members also had an opportunity to interact with the local community. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5 was present and representing the Seabees Navy-wide.
